You worry too much ...

As a mother, I always dread the followings;

My children 1st day of school ...
- I was already wandering how'll he/she will cope,
not having me no more to help, the night b'4.
- I worried myself sick thinking of the `what if" ....
- I was always reluctant to step away
as the teacher assures us (me & other mums) everything will be allright
- Wait, wait! I'm sure I heard him/her muffled a cry .... saw a watery eyes (them or me?)
Alas ... 1st day always ends well and the kids were the happiest lot
with tons of stories to tell
Sigh!
Amar's 1st day of school - `balik' time!
(notice the `fan', his 1st day project)
When they 1st leave for college ...
- almost same as above but more intense in scale
- when I call and no answer, I worried something bad must have happened
("mum, I was in class", "mum, I was asleep")
- And I will make sure poor hubby sent money to them without fail, comes `gaji' day!
So far ... all of them scrape through college life with flying colours

Exam time ...
- I'm the one more `gelabah' than them
- I treat them like kings/queen, `Your wish is my command...'
and take full advantage they did!
They usually crushed my anxiety and speculations with `not bad' results
Muaz & friends - UPSR result's day

When they're travelling home/somewhere ...
- Don't forget to start with right foot 1st ...
- Ughhh .. and don't forget to say your prayer for safe journey!
- Call me ...
(well, if I had my way, I'd be calling them every 10 minutes if not for hubby's `don't you dare' stares)
- Remember to bring along some water & foods too..

Job interviews ...
- I was the `busy bee'
- b'4 the interview: lets search the internet for their backgrounds
which dress/shirt suits better, did you do your prayer?
-on the interview day: I think I have a fever!!
-after the interview: "Mum! Please ... I had enough interviews for today.."
Guess who was the happiest when they got the job!!

(Those are some of the many of them!)

Hubby: Calm down ... you worry too much!
Me: But I just wan't them to be OK!

Muni,
I do worry, but not too much. All my children (6 Of them) attended their primary school just next to my house. I just sent them to their classes on the 1st day of school and they came back home on their own.
Now 4 of them are in the secondary schools and stay in hostels (non is in college yet) and we meet at least once in a fortnight. My hubby use to meet all their needs, hantar duit kalau tak cukup and so forth sampai dia kata I ni tak ingat anak, b'cos I seldom go and meet them even it's near. But during exam time, I'm the one who make sure that they prepare themselves well.
I still have a long journey to go; to see my children thro college, getting jobs and so on but my hubby always remind me that successful material life is not meaningful if they fail in their iman and takwa. So to balance up those two things bring a lot of worry in my heart. My hubby sent my two boys (12 and 13 yrs) to Tahfiz school even though I initially, are skeptical of his decision. Well, I put my worry to rest cos insyaAllah, we're only seeking for His Blessings...

Well, to worry too much shows that you are a very good mother. Sometimes I wonder, what kind of mother am I...

Yah,saya ada anak2 dok sek ren, sek men, kolej, kerja & dah kawin. Jadi `level worries' ikut keadaan mereka. Ur hubby & U are doing ur very best for them, so do all parents ... so we can only leave the rest to Allah! He knows best & rewards will come accordingly ... insyaAllah.
