My 1st day of June ...

I was in the midst of trying my hand at baking Banana Carrot Bread, when the postman came.
"Mama, a parcel for you from Jamilah Samian!!" my son, who was mending his motorbike, shouted from outside.
"Jamilah who?"
"I think its a book ..!" my son shouted again for the second time, still outside.

"Oh..Oh .. Jamilah!  The book!! Wah ... so fast" as I took the parcel handed by my son. The book that I have been waiting for. Its her 3rd book & I had specially ordered it online.  As I hastily opened the parcel, the smell of bread baking fills the air. Mmmmm ... feel good already!! Ahh ... the much awaited book.

Another suprise greets me as I opened the book. OMG ... there, on the first page, personally signed by the husband & wife authors, specially for me! I'm speechless!!! Thanks a lot ....

What a great First day of June!!  The personally signed book, the quite beautifully turned out (a bit burned though) first try Banana Carrot Bread ... Alhamdulillah.
