Generation Gap

My mom & mother-in-law are Veterans.
Hubby & I are Baby Boomers.
3 of my sibblings are Gen X.
And, I have children from Gen Y & Z.
Maybe soon, I'll be a Grandma of Gen Alpha ...

What `the name of a tiger' (namo rimaa?*) am I into now???(* Kelantanese dialect - literally translate : apa ke benda)
Haha ... relax!!
I'm talking about generation groups ...
Determined by what year you were born into.

Lets see which generation group you belong to?

Born b'4 1946 ~ you are Veteran
Born between 1946 - 1964 ~ you are Baby Boomer
Born between 1965 - 1980 ~ you are Gen X (short for Generation X)
Born between 1981 - 1994 ~ you are Gen Y
Born between 1995 - 2009 ~ you are Gen Z
Born 2010 and above ~ you are called Gen Alpha
(source: The Groovy Guide To Parenting Gen Y and Z)

Thus our differences ....
EACH GENERATION THINKS THAT THEY ARE MORE SAVVY than the Gen before
But please keep in mind that,
Though our age, values, behaviours & views may differ, still ...
We're pretty much closely related!
Why?
Because, we are the descendants from the generation before ...
So, remember that!!!
When you are born in a different generation,
you will ultimately see things differently
from the generation before & after you ...
~
Me with my mom & my children
You with your mom & your children
Your Children with You & Their Children
~
So, the cycle continues ...
Get the picture??
So Babies of all Generations ...
PLEASE .... see, hear & respect the other Generations,
Like you want to be respected, heard & seen .... !!

Prophet Muhammad S.A.W reminded us the following:
"He who does not show mercy to our young ones and acknowledge the rights of our old ones is not one of us."
(from: Ahamd, Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi)
(Na'udhubillah ...)
and,
Mr.Clarence Darrow (1857 - 1938) felt:
" The first half of our lives is ruined by our parents, and the second half by our children."
(Yikes! Hopes not ...)
