Yeah! Can't really describe the proud-of-me and great feelings ... to taste your own home-grown fruits, finally. To top it up, we also have bananas in the house (from brother-in-law orchard).
p.s. 'paw paw' is another name for papaya
Somehow, with current hot dry season ... they became 'overipe' faster than you can consume ...
Waste not .... so the best option Mama can only think of to utilise them all ... is to bake them!!!
Hmmm! While wondering wether combining them both would be a good idea, for Mama had bake Banana bread many times before ...
Sometimes combining banana with carrot, nuts, raisins and even dried fruits. So this is the first time Mama will be combining banana and papaya.
Thanks to 'Madam Google' .... found what Mama thinks a worth-try recipe ... and am not dissapointed with the result either. A must-keep recipe for sure ... tho' Mama did improvise a bit, where the brown-sugar is reduced from 1 cup to 3/4 cup (not a sweet-tooth here) and omit chopped papaya and chopped macadamias (where to find here ... huhu + no supply of other nuts in hand).
|Don't judge the taste by the look ya ...|
