How I watch the SEA Games Football Final - MALAYSIA vs INDONESIA 2011

First Half:
The moment Indon scores, I log-in my FB & started playing Baking Life. Occassionally I glanced over my shoulder to peep at the latest outcome. Still 1-0.
My prediction - Malaysia didn't field its best players due to injuries (key players), so I'm not that optimistic.
Break:
Quickly blend the ingredients for 'kuah kacang' coz I'm making Nasi Himpit for breakfast the next day.
2nd Half:
Torn between proceed with cooking 'kuah kacang' and watching football till end. Hehe ... decided on neither. Blog walking instead ... with ocaasional glance of the match. Suddenly hubby and son jumped with joy ... Malaysia had scored the equalizer!!!! My spirit lifted.
My verdict: Malaysia has the chance to win.
Till the end of game ... the score 1-1. Meaning ... 30 minutes of dreaded (me lah ..) extra time to decide the winner. Suspense in the air ...
Extra Time - 1st 15 minutes
I was infront of the tv now ... but from quite a distance away. Still jittery & nervous, so decided to watch in blurry images (away with my spectacle) coz afraid that Indon will score. Haha ... (now, back then ...) By the way, in between, I was separating the baked groundnuts skins with my hands ~ sometimes crushing them when the suspense built. My heart is racing now ...
My verdict: Not sure (but hoping M'sia to win .... praying infact!)
Rest Time:
I finished 'airing' the groundnuts to separate the skins & grinding them.
Next 15 minutes:
I chickened-out and went to the kitchen. Can't do anything now ... tho' the ingredients for cooking 'kuah kacang' are all ready! Am now a complete nervous-wreck. Can't watch the game nor starts cooking. Was in the kitchen ... doing nothing. Huhu ...
Till the final whistle, still 1-1. Pheww!!
My verdict: Please win Malaysia ... (I hate penalties!!!)
Penalty Shoots:
I was prancing to and fro ... my heartbeats? Like somebody being chased by dogs!!!
I felt like I was watching a horror film then ... am peeking thro' my fingers most of the time!
When either teams took the penalty shoots ... the fingers gap shut closer. When they replay the taken shoot, only then I can breathe and look. And then ... 'Apek @ Khairul Fahmi' saved a shoot, there's hope. Yess!! Its 4 -4, and M'sia has the final shoot. When M'sian Captain, Badrol scored the winning penalty (albeit with dramatic suspense as the ball rolled away from Indon's goalkeeper's grasp, slowly into the goalmouth ..) ... nothing matters anymore. What a sweet and thrilling victory ... My heart soared. My guess, all Malaysian too on that 21.11.2011 nite. I was cooking with a dancing heart that nite.
We celebrated the next day with the best ever Nasi Himpit + Kuah Kacang ... (when you cook with joy and love, your food definitely taste better!!)
(p.s. found this extract in my 2011 note book ... hehe)
