Kuantan and I

The trip to Kuantan last school hols was like a trip down the memory lane
... least for hubby and I.
For Anas, he was only 5 years old when we left Kuantan. So ... not much nostalgic memories for him, except for the 'fall into the drain' incident ... (hehe)
For Muaz and Amar ... they were Kelantan children, born after we moved to Kelantan
After I quite working for good!!!
Kuantan was synonim with my 3 elder children. Mizi, my late Munzir and Aqmar.
Kuantan is where they spent their primary schooling and chilhood lives ...
We spent almost 9 years there, even bought a house there.
Yah! Rather than spending RM350.00 for rent, might as well pay RM450.00/month on housing loan.
Yes ... we had a house there that housed my family, one (always changing) babysitter and 3 cats!!!
We were happy there ... no traffic jams, beautiful beaches, glorious & fresh seafoods, clean town, best 'roti canai' (hehe ...), recreational parks to spend quality time with family and friends, and more.
Thus ...
During our short visit to Kuantan, we traced back all the places we used to frequents.
Some has changed and almost unrecognizable, some still the same, some has gone and replaced.
But ... for me, Kuantan is still on my list of 'best place to stay'!
Best of all ... friends that I left more than 15 years ago still treat me like ... I haven't left at all!!!!
I miss you Kuantan ...
